The Opportunity

This Works is and award-winning British beauty brand that has been a part of the Canopy Growth Corporation since 2019 and is renowned for developing clean, targeted skincare and wellness solutions that work in harmony with your body clock 24hrs a day to maximise skin performance, starting with a good night’s sleep. All products are cruelty-free and our naturally derived ingredients are expertly blended without the use of unnecessary chemicals. As a business, we are in an exciting period of growth, having recently launched our first CBD skincare range and experiencing significant growth and expansion globally.

The role will support the Director, UK Sales and National Account Manager, EU in the delivery of the company’s commercial results through effective management of allocated national accounts within the UK/EU Channels. Success is principally measured against delivery of KPIs linked to customer sales targets and profitability whilst aligning with core Brand values and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • To contribute to the development of annual JBPs/trade plans to deliver against key KPIs (sales/investment/strategic & company objectives)
  • To be responsible for the execution of JBPs/trade plans in line with sales and budget KPIs – always looking to improve efficiency and exceed against target
  • To collate and analyse weekly/monthly retail sales for all accounts – reporting results formally and providing insights for future actions.
  • Be the key liaison between This Works Operations team and the customers supply teams to ensure all POs are receipted and fulfilled accordingly – escalating risk/issues where necessary.
  • Support internal stock forecasting for key accounts including updating forecasts monthly/quarterly, highlighting major changes which will impact stock levels.
  • Support trade marketing budget management with accurate invoice tracking against approved investment (internal POs) plus accruals.
  • Develop strong relationships with key account relevant points of contact and liaise both in person and by phone with these individuals to ensure effective management of the account
  • Brief all trade marketing requirements for key accounts to internal Marketing team – adhering to process and lead time – ensuring output aligns with objectives/key deliverables.
  • Work closely with NPD team to ensure customer requirements are briefed at relevant stage of product development (where relevant) and all key information is shared/available.
  • Represent accounts when line managers absent for key internal meetings (Sales, S&M, Ops Meeting).
  • To authorise samples/ testers based on Company Policy for each account in area of responsibility
  • To support and co-ordinate any necessary general administration or tasks on behalf of the business in line with company requirements. (despatches, filing, post, updating reports etc.)
  • To provide input and support on any adhoc projects as directed by line manager and/or more Senior company members.
  • Update and communicate standardised retail reports, including weekly sales report to be provided for sales meeting each week. Distribute as relevant
  • Ensure retailer product information is accurate and up to date at all points of the supply chain (e.g. new products, prices, discontinuations etc.)
  • Action any follow up required from weekly sales team reports for testers, sample pots, brochures etc.
  • Ensure Net Suites (internal stock / finance system) is kept up to date with any stockist changes etc.

Experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous experience in a commercial role – preferably eCommerce
  • Previous experience of working in a small team environment, on a developing brand a plus but not essential
